Qld State Titles, Day 3

The wind was dropping , it was a perfect day for a jet ski or a whale watch !

I opted for shore leave ,
but took some shots of the fleet preparing for a long slow, hot  race..

And of course... it was recovery day from the huge night of the Football Grand Final...

                                        Everyone was overwhelmed with enthusiasm..

in recovery mode...

Tree hugger...

organiser...

... and that sea looked perfect!

Tractor man was raring to go...

                                                                others a bit moody..

we waited for wind ...

serious gear came out.. to measure wind or lack of it!

                                                         Another perfect day in Queensland...

until finally the call for race sounded

and while they were away ...

there was entertainment ...

For the young guys who I also promised to post a few photos.. " from Mum"

Qld State Titles, 2015, Day 2.

Sunday dawned with a calm , and a lightly building south - south westerly breeze again. the bullets were only gusting to 8 knots which made a day for the lighter boats to get a look in...

                              David Mann from PCSC..

                                            Conditions were vastly different...

The Cats were racing as well, and I promised to put their photos on the blog as well!

                                          They started first ...

While the Impulse fleet jockeyed for positions

or took a more relaxed approach...

in a gentleman's agreement...

there was the occasional General Recall.

A lot more conservative the second time round..

                                   it was all  very calm...

we could only hope for some excitement at the buoy rounding...

The A class supplied some interest...

there were changes of places ...

The rescue teams were able to relax...after Saturdays marathon effort.

Race Two bought some high fliers...the girls led the way...

An orderly start from the Impulse fleet...

                                                        they sailed to and fro...

Cats were coming while Impulses were going...

                                                                There was serious business...

and a TV crew or two!

and back to the beach
